April Favourites

April Favourites

(sorry the pictures a bit doggy,FotoFlexer decided not to work!)

St.Moriz instant tanning mousse(in dark)
This is by far my favourite self tanner.I started using tan again this month as it WAS getting sunnier and warmer but that weather was short lived never the less my legs are now tanned and ready for the sun!

The Body Shop Vanilla Body Mist
I love this and this month i've re-discoverd my love for this scent.I also have the Perfume version of this but i find it a tad over powering .I've re-purchased this 'body mist' about 5 times! I think it costs around 7 pounds and lasts all day. Perfect for summer.

Clear And Clear Deep Action Wash
So this month my skins being playing up so i decided to switch up my face wash and since then I've fallen in love with this wash,it applies like a gel then turns into a cream and when I've washed it off my skin feels so fresh and clear.

MUA Heaven And Earth Eye shadow Palette
The cheaper equivalent to the naked palette?Hmm I'm not so sure it's that great! but there are some gorgeous colours! You can tell my favourite ones as I've hit pan on them already!
This palette can create some great looks!

Sleek Contour Kit(medium)
I absolutely love this, I'm pretty sure I've worn it everyday since i bought it earlier this month. In the haul i showed this in i said i wished i bought this in a lighter shade, but now I'm quite happy with the shade medium although i do have to use a light hand, i reckon  it will last longer this way anyway!

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate(shade 12)
This month I've ventured into the world of brighter lipsticks, usually i stick to a nude or a pale pink but i fell in love with this colour in super drug and had to buy it! It's so bright!

Original Source Shea Butter And Honey Shower Gel
I was thinking about doing a what's in my shower post in the future but for now here's a sneaky peak of one of my favs!
So this is my favourite sower gel ever! I've used it everyday since i discovered it .It smells absolutely gorgeous! and the scent lasts on your skin for hours after the shower!

MUA(lovehearts collection number 11)
This month I've been loving all the nail polishes in the lovehearts collection but this is my fav by far! So this is what i consider to be the perfect spring time colour, a lovely muted purple. It's also a great colour to use as a base to create patterns over the top.
I definitely think if you haven't checked out the MUA nail polish stand by now you should do so!

A Few Extra Fav's..

I love discovering different new up and coming artists
I thought i may add this little bit in at the end of each month's favourite posts,as it gives you guys new music to discover!x

MUA Primer Review

MUA Professional Primer
Hey guys, hope your all well! So this review has been highly requested after my little MUA haul,Iv'e been trying out this primer for the last couple days and have come to the conclusion that i do quite like it.

On the packaging it boasts 'A velvety smooth formula that feels light on your skin and creates a flawless even complexion. Wear, alone or under foundation for a long lasting finish.' I would have to agree with this to a point I don’t think it evens out complexion but it defiantly think it provides a great base for foundation but for a mere price of £4 for 27ml you can’t complain.
First let me start off by saying I have normal to dry skin and this primer works well for me because of that but I can see that people with oily skin may find this product a little troublesome as it is VERY VERY shiny! The primer has a weird consistency and applies like a runny moisturiser but leaves your skin feeling smooth and velvety. I find my foundation is much easier to apply with this primer underneath. It also has a strong floral scent when applied but after it has sunken in to your skin (takes about a minute) you no longer notice it.
Normally without using a primer my foundation lasts all day but I've found after around 6 hours I need to touch up around my nose(because of redness) and sometimes around my eyes but with this primer I no longer need to touch up my foundation which is always a plus!
One day this week I did try out this primer without foundation. I added a light dusting of translucent powder over the top to reduce the shine and although it didn't give me the cover I was used to it made my skin look a lot better and I felt confident enough without foundation.
Con's
not great for oily skin
 Pro's
Good value for money
Leaves skin feeling soft, velvety and smooth
foundation lasts longer
foundation is easier to apply
 Moisturising

The Verdict:
This wouldn't be my first choice of primer if I had all the money in the world to spend but for those who have a lower budget for primers (like I do) I would highly recommend you give this a try. Although for those of you with oily skin I would steer clear!

Smile

A Smile

I know it's a Friday so most people are over the moon and excited for the weekend ahead but i thought some of you, like me might need a little pick me up after the first week back to school/work after the Easter also the weather in England is really putting a downer on my mood right now all this rain makes me not want to leave the house!
I'm not really one for poems but i learnt of this a couple years ago and ever since its been my favourite one! I've searched for the author so many times but google seems to come up 'unknown' or Karen Mclendon-Laumann but I'm not convinced, anyway enough with the ramblings, here's the poem:

Smile

Smiling is infectious
You catch it like the flu.
When someone smiled at me today,
I started smiling too.

I passed around the corner,
Ans someone saw my grin.
When he smiled I realised
I'd passed it on to him.

I thought about that smile
then I realised its worth,
A single smile,just like mine
could travel round the earth.

So,if you feel a smile begin,
don't leave it undetected
Let's start an epidemic quick,
and get the whole world infected!

My Week In Pictures #2

My Week In Pictures #2

So this week's been pretty busy for me! I went up to London twice this week, the first to meet up with family friends for a meal and a stroll around Hyde park. We went to a place I've never heard of called spaghetti house apparently it's a massive chain dotted all over London.! I ordered the smoky pancetta, avocado & goats cheese salad, and to tell you the truth it tasted quite similar to a salad i make at home quite regularly, wasn't too impressed with that but desert was quite the opposite,i had a tiramisu ,delish!
My second trip up to London was friends,we browsed around the shops on Oxford street and had lunch in macdonalds mmmm :) Picked up a few goodies, you might see in a haul soon too!

Wishlist

A little collection of a few things I'd like to get my hands on in the next coming months. The reality of this is that I probably won’t, but hey what's wrong with wishful thinking?
One of my biggest wishes is a leather jacket I desperately NEED one in my life, I find it so hard to find a style that I like and one that fits properly.Other wish's include burgundy vans, a new pair of denim shorts, the Nars summer nail polish collection, Solel tan de Chanel, Jeffrey Campbell Litas and Nars lipstick in heat wave.

Are any of these on your current wish list?
What fashion items/cosmetic’s would you buy if you had all the money in the world?

Mini Haul&First Thoughts

Mini Haul& First Thoughts

Sleek Face Contour Kit(in medium) £6.50
Finally I bought the sleek contour kit I’ve had my eye on for months but not got round to buying. I can’t say much on the product yet as I’ve only used it twice but so far I'm liking it although I wish now I had bought this at another time as my local Superdrug only had the shade medium in stock. I realise now it’s way too dark for me L

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder (in 005 silky beige) £3.99
This was a spur of the moment purchase for me. I usually use All About Face pressed powder which I believe is around £1.50 to set my foundation& powder down my neck but I thought it wouldn't hurt to try something new.So I’m going to give this one a go!

Yankee Candle In Vanilla Cupcake £1.80
I bought this candle yesterday at the Yankee candle store in Ashford outlet centre. The candles in vanilla cupcake which I've not tried before so I was spectacle of spending £20 and bought a sampler for £1.80 instead. After trying it out today I will definitely be going back to buy the full size candle!

MUA mascara £1
I bought this mascara as the one I’m using now is on its last legs. On first impressions I wasn't too pleased but then for the price of £1 I wouldn't expect much at all. In my opinion this mascara does nothing special for my lashes. One for the bin I think.
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer(in fair) £4.19
I believe this is the 5th collection 2000 perfection concealer I’ve purchased!
I can’t praise this product enough. Best concealer I’ve ever tried, hands down.

All About Face Jumbo Eye shadow Pencil(in bronze) £1.50
I picked this up whilst having a wonder through the makeup section in my local Tesco’s. The eye shadow pencil came in two colours; bronze and sliver. I picked up the bronze pencil, I’ve tried it out a few times using it as a base colour and I absolutely love it! And for the small price of £1.50 it’s a real bargain!
